mental health counseling

Qualified in most areas of Mental Health Counseling.

Therapy, counseling, and mental health counseling are terms used to describe a variety of different talk therapies used to treat depression, anxiety, stress, and other mental and emotional disorders. Therapy, counseling, and mental health counseling involves talking to a licensed professional during a scheduled series of appointments. These scheduled appointments can last as long as 1 hour and often range from a few sessions to as many as 1 year of sessions to achieve the desired goals.  It has proven to be effective in treating mild and moderate forms of depression, and can be combined with drug therapy to treat all degrees of mental and emotional disorders. Therapy usually involves identifying past traumas that have occured in early childhood which cause a repetition of those problems or dynamics in adult life. If a person resolves those past issues they cease to repeat them.
